Sleeping Beauty is a family business that started in 1999 in Lerwick, Shetland, and grew the unusual way — north to south, through Inverness, Aviemore and Fort William before the Edinburgh branch opened in 2012 in the West End. The group is directed by Lilac Miller alongside her mother Glenys Miller, who took the business from its Shetland roots into a multi-site company. The Edinburgh salon is modern and set over two floors, which separates noisy and quiet services properly. A private manicure and pedicure suite holds several nail stations and pedicure thrones, so groups sit together without taking over the treatment rooms.
