About the salon

Jasmin French built something Edinburgh did not really have: a salon that treats makeup and styling as the main event rather than an add-on to cutting and colouring. After several years trading she opened a lounge on Hamilton Place in Stockbridge, so a client can arrive plain and leave fully done — hair, face, brows, nails — in one stop.

Services

The core is makeup and hair styling: blow-dries, hair-up and full makeup, with blow-dry subscriptions for weekly regulars. Around that sit hair and lash extensions, LVL lash lift, HD Brows, threading, tinting, waxing, facials, a nail bar and spray tanning. Wedding hair and makeup is a big part of the business, and the salon teaches lessons and travels on location.

Technology and brands

The branded systems here are the ones that matter for a glam salon. HD Brows is a structured seven-step method rather than a quick wax, and LVL lifts the natural lash so extensions are not the only option. Lash extensions are applied individually, and threading is offered alongside waxing for skin that reacts badly to wax.

Team and stylists

The salon carries its founder’s name, and Jasmin’s background is in makeup artistry — that focus shaped the business model rather than a general salon plan. She built a team of specialists around it, so brows, lashes, nails and makeup are each done by someone who does that discipline all day. It was a finalist at the Scottish Salon Awards in 2026.

How long do treatments take? A blow-dry is around forty-five minutes, makeup about an hour, and full hair and makeup ninety minutes or more.

Do you treat men and children? Men can book styling, brows and beauty treatments. Younger clients are usually seen for events, with a parent present.

Can I combine treatments in one visit? That is the entire concept — hair, makeup, brows and nails are routinely booked back to back.
